The Ministry of Finance has just issued Circular No. 01/2021/TT-BTC regulating the collection rates, collection, payment, management and use of appraisal fees for granting karaoke and dance hall business licenses. This Circular takes effect from February 25, 2021 and replaces Circular No. 212/2016/TT-BTC dated November 10, 2016.
The Ministry of Finance has just issued Circular No. 01/2021/TT-BTC regulating the collection rates, collection, payment, management and use of appraisal fees for granting karaoke and dance hall business licenses. This Circular takes effect from February 25, 2021 and replaces Circular No. 212/2016/TT-BTC dated November 10, 2016.
According to the Circular, in centrally run cities and in provincial cities and towns, the fee for appraisal and adjustment of the license to qualify for karaoke service business in case of additional rooms is 2 million VND/room but the total fee must not exceed 12 million VND/license/appraisal.
The fee for assessment and issuance of licenses to qualify for discotheque service business in centrally run cities and provincially run cities and towns is 15 million VND/license.
In other areas, the fee is from 2-6 million VND/paper. The fee for appraisal and adjustment of the license to qualify for karaoke service business in case of additional rooms is 1 million VND/room, but the total fee is not more than 6 million VND/license/appraisal. The fee for appraisal and issuance of a license to qualify for discotheque service business in this area is 10 million VND/license.
The fee for appraisal and adjustment of the license to qualify for karaoke service business or discotheque service in case of change of owner is 500,000 VND/license.
Fee collection organizations pay the entire fee amount collected into the state budget. The source of costs to cover the appraisal and collection of fees is arranged by the state budget in the estimates of the fee collection organization according to the regime and state budget spending norms according to regulations.
